Omaha Poker InformationOmaha Poker or Omaha Hi is very similar to the popular Texas Holdem version, where the player must make the best five card poker hand possible from a combination of hole cards (cards that are unique to each player) and community or board cards (cards that are common to every player in the game). Just like in Texas Holdem, the community cards consist of 5 cards, the first three known as “the flop” the next one called “the turn” and the fifth card referred to as “the river”. The betting rounds, big and small blinds and limits also follow the same procedures as Texas Holdem Poker. The difference in Omaha Poker is with the hole cards and the make up of the 5 card hand. In Texas Holdem each player is dealt 2 hole cards but in Omaha, each player gets 4 cards that are exclusively theirs. And in Texas Holdem, the best five card hand can be a combination of any of the 7 cards dealt to each player, in Omaha, the 5 card hand must be made up of exactly 2 of the 4 hole cards and exactly 3 of the community cards. So as you can see, you do have more cards to work with n this version but because of your specific guidelines, this game can become a little tricky. To sum up:
