Lowball Poker InformationLowBall Poker is a version of Draw Poker that is a little different from the ordinary. Instead of the highest poker hand winning the pot, the winner in this game is the player with the lowest hand. The low hand is the same low hand that you find in games of Hi/Lo, such as Omaha Hi/Lo. So as we described in the Omaha Hi/Lo section, the best low hand, would be A, 2, 3, 4, 5 (no pairs and the five lowest ranked cards). The best way to figure out who has the lowest hand is to put all numbers together, highest to lowest and read as a 5 digit number (54321 or 85321), the lowest five digit number (with no pairs) is the winner. The structure of the game is the same as most draw poker games. In Lowball, every player is dealt five cards, a betting round occurs, players exchange the number of cards that they wish (or as many as the rules permit), one more betting round, and a showdown. Some Lowball games require all players to place an ante and some require two players to post blinds. Other variations of Lowball are common, such as Deuce to Seven Lowball and Ace to Five Lowball (where the lowest hands differ). And like Texas Holdem and other poker variations, Lowball Poker is often played as a no limit or pot limit game. To sum up:
